Chatham Executive Building

This is how this new building looks under construction.
This is how the building is expected to look.
Located at 634 – 640 E. 79th Street (corner of Champlain & 79th Street) and it looks like a nice addition to the Chatham neighborhood.

Here's some more info from the website:
Commercial building, 12,000 sq. ft, 2 story, brick structure, with rear parking lot. The building will be constructed as a “Green/LEED” building. The project has been registered with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), seeking a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification rating of Silver.

The ground level retail space is 6,000 sq. ft., divisible by a minimum of 1,000 sq. ft. The second level is 6,000 sq. ft., intended use, office suites, state-of-the-art conference room and reception area. The second level will have a separate ground level entrance including an elevator.

The cutting edge building design includes a green roof, with Green and LEED building design/construction elements. The project is under the design direction of award winning architect, Alex Polichuk, President, Aleksandr Vaysman, LEED AP and staff of Atelier ‘7 Architects, 3340 Dundee Road, Suite 2C4, Northbrook, IL 60062. Project delivery is scheduled for summer 2008.
Next question is what type of retail will we see there. Also what type of business we might find at this establishment. Who might rent space, do business or even hold events there?

Did you know you can find a page for this project on Facebook.
