and ...GCA will host Chicago Commissioner of Streets
and Sanitation, Charles L. Williams, as our April Guest
Speaker on Saturday, April 20th.

The word in some circles is that the grid system when
implemented on the Northside had some bumpy spots.

We all know how bumpy can translate into crazy when
things hit the Southside.

Again, Charles L. Williams, Chicago Commissioner of Streets
and Sanitation will be the Greater Chatham Alliance's April
Guest Speaker on Saturday, April 20th at the St. James
Lutheran Church, 8000 S. Michigan from 11 am to 1 pm.

GCA always encourages residents to come prepared to ask
the "hard" questions–-not the soft stuff.

For instance, residents need to know how we can hold
businesses that allow garbage to collect in front of their
stores more accountable, get more public trash cans to
prevent folks from throwing liquor bottles and fast food
trash on streets and lawns, what to do when we find dead
animals in our yards and alley, what happens when twigs
and branches fall down in clusters in the front of our homes,
etc.

Let's be prepare to welcome, talk and be concise–-but
also act respectful and polite.Leslie Honorenoreply@blogger.com
