ARCHIVED NEWS: Chatham Center to open today

This first paragraph was published in the Sun-Times on October 14, 1986:
Chatham Center, a four-story landmark building on the corner of 79th and Cottage Grove, opens today in what is the largest commercial project to date under the Neighborhood Lending Program sponsored by the First National Bank of Chicago, Harris Bank and the Northern Trust Corp. CANDO, the Chicago Association of Neighborhood Development Organizations, put together an $804,000 loan from First Chicago to the Stevenson Co. for the rehabilitation.
1st Chicago is now Chase and I wonder if that building is in need of another rehab. I believe this is the building that also houses an office for the state Attorney General.
